Job Description:

Red Hat is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Security Response team. In this role, you'll be responsible for triaging, investigating, and tracking security vulnerabilities in all Red Hat products, and ensuring that customers get the right fixes, with the right advice, at the right time. You'll need to be able to think fast and use your judgement to assess vulnerability severities and risk, as well as able to switch your priorities to ensure that serious issues get immediate attention.

Job Responsibilities:

1.Conduct manual code audits
2. Communicate with software developers, managers, and quality engineers about security best practices
3.Help identify areas in which security research, development, and training will benefit Red Hat products and services
4.Create documents detailing secure development concepts and practices

Required skills:

1.Candidates should posses B.E/B.Tech in computer science or equivalent work experience
2.Proficient in one or more of these programming languages: C, Python, Java, Ruby
3.Ability to review code and quickly identify security bugs
4.Excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system
5.Thorough understanding of computer security concepts
6.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
7.Good organizational skills, with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision
8.Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
